Pfizer vaccine comes to DFMC

Starting the week of Monday September 13, we are pleased to advise that we will have supplies of the Pfizer vaccine here at Dalyellup Family Medical Centre.

We will be running 1–2-hour clinics 3-4 days/week from Monday September 13 and can give the vaccine to anyone aged 12 years old to 59 years old.

A parent or guardian must accompany anyone under the age of 18 having a vaccine.

Due to the nature of the vaccine, we will be running vaccine clinics in usual business hours as vaccines need to be used within a certain timeframe once drawn up.  For this reason we can’t give you the vaccines whenever you want it, but will be running the clinics at different times during the day, so hopefully we will be able to find a time that suits you.

It is very important to Australia’s vaccine supplies that we try to minimize vaccine wastage.

Contact Dalyellup Family Medical Centre Reception on 9795 6422 to make an appointment for your COVID-19 vaccination.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PFIZER VACCINE WILL NOT BE GIVEN TO PEOPLE OVER THE AGE OF 59 (UNLESS QUALIFYING CONDITIONS EXIST FOR AN ALTERNATIVE COVID-19 VACCINE). THIS IS THE CURRENT RECOMMENDATION OF ATAGI (AUSTRALIAN TECHNICAL ADVISORY GROUP ON IMMUNISATIONS).
