Telehealth Medicare subsidies extended until December 31st, 2021
The Federal Government recently announced that Medicare subsidies for Telehealth will be extended now until 31st December 2021. What does this mean for patients of DFMC?
- Telehealth consultations will incur the same fee as if they attended the clinic.
- Patients having Telehealth consultations can claim the Medicare rebate.
- Pension card holders and children under 12 will be bulk billed.
- Health Care Card holders will be charged a discounted fee.
